English camps for teachers of English of Matugama Education Zone

The English department of the Zonal Education Office has planned to hold two, two- day camps for the teachers of English during the August vacation with a view to enhance their subject knowledge. A compilation of writings on English language ,literature, and grammar with lists of foreign terms, colloquial terms, and impressive words etc , will be given to each participant.

The participants in the camp will receive a comprehensive knowledge in the following areas
1 Advanced English grammar
2 English literature
3 Singing English songs
4 Writing and sending e mails
5 Improving English through internet
6 how to write school projects

A camp will be held for two days from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00p.m.on each day and facilities can only be provided for 50 participants. Tea and lunch will be provided.

• First camp - August 8th and 9th 2011
• Second camp - August 15th and 16th 2011

Place - Pantiya M.V.


Several university students from Asia and Europe will take part in these camps.
